Strength in numbers
Zimbabweans are suffering the worst forms of human rights abuses known to man. This needs to stop now, before millions more Zimbabweans starve, suffer, die and flee the country. As part of our strategy to deal with the crisis in Zimbabwe, we are encouraging men, woman and children to stand together in numbers to peacefully protest against the vial human rights abuses they are suffering. The people of Zimbabwe, have had enough of the regime and are now prepared to stand up for their rights.
The regime uses it's military and police to drive fear into the people of Zimbabwe, by constantly brutalizing, torturing and killing innocent men, woman and children.
On the 14th of September 2007, over 500 of our members gathered outside Harare Police Station in protest against the use of the regime's evil "pawns". As expected, we were confronted by 60 heavily armed riot police officers. They descended on the crowd violently beating, brutalizing and torturing innocent men woman and children. 11 people were arrested and imprisoned. The conditions of the prison cells reflect the state of the country. People are forced to sleep in faeces and urine with up to 50 people sharing a 10ft by 10ft cell.
This has not and will not deter the people of Zimbabwe. Instead, it has fueled more people to stand up in defiance against the regime. Zimbabweans will continue to protest against the government, until they have their human rights restored.
